General Terms
By making a reservation you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this contract.
We have made a good faith effort to accurately describe the accommodations, but shall not be liable for any inaccuracies in such descriptions or changes in the conditions of the accommodations or the surrounding properties or condition thereof, or for any temporary defects or stoppages in supply of electricity, gas, water, plumbing, or any other services.
Limitations of Liability
We shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, cost of expense, or any person occupying or visiting the accommodation arising out of personal injuries, accident or death; property loss or damages; loss or changed itinerary resulting from any acts or omission of the owner of the accommodation, his employees or agents, or any other party not under the control of the owner or from any act of God, warany other event or cause beyond our control. We are not under legal obligation give a refund in the event of a hurricane. It is recommended that each guest procure travel insurance for the protection of persons and property and with respect to personal liability, while traveling to and from the occupying accommodations.
Security Deposit
You agree to pay a security deposit of $300, to insure against any damage to Bambooshay, St. John (formerly Coconut Cottage) (also, "the home"). You further agree that in the event any damage is incurred to Coconut Cottage, anything inside the home, or on the home’s property, you will be liable for repair, replacement and any incidental costs incurred in making such repairs or replacement. You agree that any such reasonable costs may be charged to your credit card.
Note that the security deposit is to protect the home from malicious or negligent damages and/or if the home is left excessively dirty. An authorization will be placed on your credit card for such occurrences. The authorization is held for 21 days, unless you pay your security deposit by check. Upon arrival, it is the tenant’s responsibility to report any damage found. Failure to report any damages found during your stay may result in pcerning rules and procedures. Evidence of failureartial or complete loss of security deposit. Tenant also agrees to reimburse owner for any damage expenses incurred in excess of the security deposit, including collection costs and reasonable attorney’s fees. Person renting home is responsible for informing all members of his/her party to follow terms and conditions herein.
Other
Although we love animals, we ask that you not bring them to the Cottage.
Every effort is made to keep Bambooshay, St. John and its equipment in good working order. Should a malfunction arise during your stay, every effort will be made to remedy it during your stay. Note, however, that given the remote location, no repairs can be guaranteed.
The following should be completed prior to check out:
- All trash should be bagged
- Empty and wipe out the refrigerator and cupboards of all items brought to home
- Load and start the dishwasher
- Strip all beds of linens and leave in or near washing machine
- Leave furniture and all other household items as originally found
- Please perform a final walk through and ensure that all doors and windows are closed and locked and all lights turned off.
