The villa perches on a hill amidst a small garden overlooking Coral Bay on the east side of St. John. Known as the jewel of the Caribbean, this U.S. Virgin Island lives up to its name with the St. John National Park covering two-thirds, protecting it from overdevelopment.

"Bambooshay" is a Creole word that means "enjoy yourself; have a good time."  Coined during Carnival season in the 1950's, the word originates from "Bambula," an old African dance that is carried out today through a unique "second line" dance that is performed to the beat of traditional New Orleans jazz.  Revelers during Carnival today are often heard yelling out "Bambooshay!" as they partake in the festivities of the season.   In a single word, "Bambooshay"   embodies the spirit and attitude that we have found and love from the Caribbean to New Orleans.

Bambooshay is our love, our heart and our passion. When we purchased the villa in 2007, we realized our dream come true by acquiring a small slice of one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
